A Grandmother's Love!
A grandmother's love is meant to prepare a child for a world, a moment in time that she may never set foot in; that is perhaps why it is so selfless and profound. A grandmother's love prepares a child character to match a time in history that she may never be a part of. Perhaps that is why her love has the power to motivate a grandchild to reach so far beyond her, beyond even himself/herself, because they are reaching for two, for many.
A grandmother's love is meant, from the beginning, to plant a legacy for family members of future generations that she will never meet. Perhaps that is why a grandmothers love, vision and prayers have the authority and ability to travel through time and impact the future.
In a time when the bonds of family are often undervalued and the impact that a grandmother's love can have on a child future is not always valued or understood, we as grandmothers stands as symbol of what a grandmother's love can really mean and accomplish. We as grandmother are remarkable women. We are a wonderful combination of warmth and kindness, laughter and love. We overlook our faults, encourage our dreams, and praises our success.
As grandmothers we have the wisdom of a teacher, the sincerity of a true friend, and the tenderness of a mother. As grandmothers we will always have a cherished place in our memories and hearts. Everyone of us has come across one lovely face in our life and that is the face of our grandmother.
As a child I loved sitting on the front step in the summer time. Grandma in the kitchen cooking supper and singing to the lord. I remember those special times of my youth, as a young girl searching for knowledge and truth. Grandma was always there to give me advice about god, love of a family and the right way to live.
She guided me through my childhood tears. She taught me kindness, patience and love. She taught me wisdom comes from god and that even in times of sorrow to look to the future and a brighter tomorrow. Although, my grandmother has been gone for many years now, just thinking of her brings a smile to my face. She had wisdom and love that everyone could see and the lessons she taught I still carry with me.
To all of you grandmothers, who stand strong and is there for your grandchildren to lean on, I support you and dedicated my time and my work in helping others in sharing what god has given unto me.
